Vice President – Dr. Cinny C. Adell

Dr. Cinny C. Adell is a lifelong learner and compassionate educator. She earned a doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology at Argosy University (Chicago, IL)  and a Master’s degree in  Clinical Social Work from Howard University (Washington, DC). Dr. Adell serves in various leadership roles, with the goal to promote the well-being of individuals, as well as society. In her leisure time, Dr. Adell enjoys reading, writing, learning about other cultures, teaching martial arts, and spending quality time with family and friends. Last but not least, she loves good humor and sharing the Word of God. 

Secretary – Christine Love

Christine Love is the Sowing Seeds Sowing Comfort Board of Directors Secretary. She loves leading and working with the Summer Camp Committee, the Thanksgiving Dinner Committee, and the Back To School Committee. God has allowed her to meet some wonderful people through the ministry. Christine Love is also a mother of four grown children, thirteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She graduated from Tallahassee Community College in 2012 with her Associate Arts Degree and studied at Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University(FAMU). Her major was Criminal Justice and her minor was Sociology. She graduated in 2015 and was on the Dean’s list.

Advisor – Mr. Matthew Kopka

Dr. Kopka is an interdisciplinary ecologist and ardent advocate of food sovereignty, the right of people to maintain and develop their own food systems, to produce food for themselves. He has taught at Florida State University and the University of Alabama. In 2014, Kopka helped Leon County stage its first local food summit and authored its report about the prospects for expanded local food production. He also helped to establish the Frenchtown Farmer’s Market, serving on its founding board. As a board member of Sustainable Tallahassee, Kopka helped revive the Community Garden Network and produce that organization’s first conference. And with FAMU’s Small Farms Program, Alcorn State University, and the Florida Organic Growers, he helped to conduct the USDA’s first (2017) study of minority farmer attitudes to organic farming.

Bonique Bethel

Ms. Bethel is a native of South Bay, a small town located in Palm Beach County, Florida. She earned her Master’s in Public Health from Florida A&M University’s College of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health. She is certified as a Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor and provides training to community members seeking certification in youth mental health first aid. Ms. Bethel is self-employed as a Financial Coach and spends her spare time volunteering in the community which is essentially the grassroots of public health.  Her main goal is to educate the community regarding all aspects of Public Health. Most notably, she is the mother of an 11-year-old named Omari. Ms. Bethel’s philosophy is to lead by example thus showing her son Omari and other youth the importance of community service.  

Whitney Henry

Whitney Henry, 35, is a wife and mother of three teenage girls. She is a proud native of Tallahassee, Fl. She is currently in pursuit of becoming a Licenced Master Social Worker (LMSW). She has always had a passion to help individuals restore or gain a sense of peace. It has been an honor for her to serve on the board of the Sowing Seed Sewing Comfort Ministry. She believes this is where she feels fulfilled.
