We celebrated the Martin Luther King holiday this year by harvesting kale, lettuce, and spinach at the invitation of Florida A&M University’s Sustainability Institute and the Eco Lab, which donated harvest from their beautiful garden to SSSCM. In exchange, Elder Ivy offered students and guests a lesson on pruning and cleaning plants. A pleasant way to celebrate the day! With fellow SSSCM members, Virginia Gardener and Madeline Kopka joined in.
